The Queen wears green in Dublin. Queen Elizabeth wore a green outfit on her trip to Ireland in 2011. It was a symbolic gesture that represents unity for two countries that have had a brutal and painful past together. She shook hands with the President and played both countries national anthems that ended with a twenty-one gun salute in honor of the victims from the years of violence between the two countries. However there is still small amounts of resentment from people in Ireland who refuse to forgive England for what they had done to them. |
